The NC State football team enter the year with high expectations. These are three bold predictions for the Wolfpack in 2018.

When a team has a quarterback like Ryan Finley, it is not surprising that the NC State football team is considered a favorite to unseat the perennial powerhouse that is the Clemson Tigers.

The Tigers, along with the Florida State Seminoles, have represented the Atlantic Division every year since 2009. However, the Wolfpack have a chance to end that streak in 2018.

The team, led by head coach Dave Doeren, finished only one game back of the Tigers last year so they weren’t that far behind. They finished the year 8-4 overall, including 6-2 within the conference.

However, the team lost a lot of talent on the defensive side of the ball, with all four starters on the defensive line including end Bradley Chubb.

The offense meanwhile returns most of it’s starting lineup with Finley and his top receiver Kelvin Harmon. If the Wolfpack hopes to build on last season, the pressure will be on this group to carry the team. This will be especially true in the beginning of the season as the defense tries to retool.

Without further ado, these are our three bold predictions for the NC State football team this upcoming season.
