Wake Forest will not surpass 2017 win total

It remains to be seen how far back they fall but it is hard to imagine Wake Forest improving their win total from last year. This would be the first time for Dave Clawson in the past three seasons as their wins went from three to seven to eight last year.

However, the Demon Deacons have major questions at quarterback and will likely not have an answer for the first half of the year. It is hard to imagine that this offense will be able to put up similar numbers that they did last season with Wolford under center.

This regression combined with question marks on a defense that struggled last year, particularly against the pass, is not a formula that signals success.
