These are four bold predictions for the Wake Forest football team for the upcoming 2018 season.

The Wake Forest football team is coming off its second consecutive winning season after going 7-6 in 2016 and 8-5 in 2017. They also went on to win their bowl games at the Military Bowl in 2016 and the Belk Bowl in 2017.

One of the reasons for the success of the Demon Deacons was their explosive offense led by quarterback John Wolford. However, Wolford has graduated and now head coach Dave Clawson has been tasked looking for a new quarterback.

The expectation was that Kendall Hinton would be the player to replace Wolford but he is suspended for the first three games. The coaching staff decided to go with true freshman Sam Hartman to start the year.

Now that the Demon Deacons have a new quarterback they are likely to take a step backwards and this will put pressure on the defense to step up. They have a number question marks but plenty of potential that they can improve this coming year.

These are four bold predictions we have for the Demon Deacons in 2018.
