The 2018 season is right around the corner for the UNC football team and these are four bold predictions for the upcoming year.

There is no question that the UNC football team want to put last year behind them, as they only won three games and lost seven of eight in the ACC.

The pressure will be on Larry Fedora to get the Tar Heels back into contention and put last year’s disappointment behind them. However it will be tough as the team had 13 players suspended over the summer for selling shoes provided by North Carolina.

The suspensions ranged from one game to four and the good news for the Tar Heels is that the players will not be forced to serve them all at the same time. This is important especially for the defensive line as the team’s starting defensive ends, Malik Carney and Tomon Fox, each will be forced to serve four game suspensions.

On the offensive side of the ball, the team will have a familiar face under center as Nathan Elliott was named the starter after Chazz Surratt was one of the 13 players suspended. The sophomore started the team’s final three games and won two of them.

These are the four bold predictions for the UNC football team entering the 2018 season.
