Shaq Thompson continues to shine

It seems this has been a trend the past few years as Carolina Panthers’ fans have been waiting for that breakout season from Shaq Thompson. The former first round pick has shown flashes but has not been able to put something together consistently.

However, 2018 may finally be that year as Thompson has looked great from training camp and through the first three preseason games. In the first half against the Patriots, Thompson finished with seven total tackles, including two tackles for losses.

The pressure will be on Thompson this year, especially in the beginning, with Thomas Davis suspended for the first four games of the year. If his performance this preseason carries over to the regular season, Thompson could finally have that breakout year.
