Cam Newton

The Carolina Panthers offense has a ton of potential with the talent and playmakers this team has. However, the pressure is on Cam Newton to execute Norv Turner’s offense and get these players in position to be successful.

This is the first time in five years that Newton will have someone other than Mike Shula calling plays for him. It certainly has been a different offseason for the former MVP as he has had to learn an entirely new offense that Turner has brought with him.

This offensive scheme though is one that seems tailor made for a player like Cam Newton. Norv Turner loves to attack defenses down field with deep passes and Newton certainly has the arm to make that happen.

The main thing that will be worth watching when Newton is under center is if he is able to sustain drives and keep them alive. In the game against the Miami Dolphins, Newton only had one drive that went more than eight plays.
