Promote Blaine Clausell

Starters: Blaine Clausell (LT), Greg Van Roten (LG), Ryan Kalil (C), Trai Turner (RG), Taylor Moton (RT)

The lineup with the least amount of shifting would be if the team promoted Blaine Clausell to replace Matt Kalil in the starting line. This would be able to leave Moton at right tackle, where he has been lining up in place of Daryl Williams.

However, the concern here is that Clausell has never taken an NFL regular season snap in the three years he has been in the NFL. The former Mississippi State Bulldog went undrafted in the 2015 NFL Draft and had two stops on the practice squad with the Baltimore Ravens, one with the New England Patriots and one with the Washington Redskins before joining the Carolina Panthers last season.

However, the Panthers’ coaching staff may have tipped their hand that they don’t feel Clausell is able to handle left tackle during the game against the Dolphins this past weekend. The team actually played him at right tackle with Dorian Johnson playing left.

These seems to be the unlikeliest option at this point.
