Jermaine Carter

While it was his former Maryland teammate D.J. Moore that got most of the headlines, Jermaine Carter had a great performance as well in the first preseason game.

The fifth-round draft pick did a great job of getting pressure on quarterback Josh Allen, finishing with one sack and two QB hits.

If Carter keeps performing the way he did against the Bills, it will be a big boost for this defense. A player like Carter, with his speed and explosiveness, will make life difficult for opposing quarterbacks.

It would not be surprising to see the coaching staff find ways to get Carter onto the field this year and he eventually replaces Thomas Davis in a year or two.
