3. at Chicago Bulls (11/17/17)

Stats: 47 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists

This is one game that was tough to rank in Kemba Walker’s career as he finished with 47 points, the second most points scored in a game for the guard. He also was very efficient with shooting the ball as he made 17 of his 27 shot attempts.

However, the Hornets ended up losing this game by a final of 123-120 and the deciding factor could have been a missed layup attempt by Walker. After Michael Kidd-Gilchrist rebounded a Bulls’ miss with about 10 seconds left, the Charlotte Hornets called a timeout to set up the play. The Hornets’ guard got by about his defender but missed the shot attempt.

While it is easy to blame Walker since he did take the last shot, the Hornets would not have been in this position if it wasn’t for his performance in this game. The outcome may not have been what they wanted, but this was still one of Walker’s greatest games.
