Stock Up: Curtis Samuel

The rookie wasn’t the only player at the wide receiver position to have an impressive game. Second-year receiver Curtis Samuel also put together a great performance and finished with four receptions for 43 receiving yards.

The former Ohio State Buckeye has had a tough start to his career with a number of injuries last year, including a broken ankle that included ligament damage. The Panthers had been cautious with him this offseason but he looks close to full strength against the Bills.

The best play Samuel had was towards the end of the first half when Garrett Gilbert threw a beautiful ball over the Bills defender and Samuel went up for the grab. The hands is something that Samuel focused on this offseason and that extra work is already paying off.

If Moore and Samuel continue to play the way they are, the Panthers could have some of the best depth at the position they have had in recent memory.
