Antonio Williams

2017 stats (with Ohio State): 57 carries, 290 rushing yards, 3 rushing touchdowns, 5 receptions, 25 receiving yards

The wildcard with this group is Antonio Williams, the transfer from Ohio State. The NCAA granted Williams request to waive the year of ineligibility so he will be on the field for the Tar Heels this upcoming season.

Adding a player of Antonio Williams’ caliber is a big boost for this offense and it is now up to Larry Fedora to figure out how he fits in this offense. However, after reading this breakdown by Chad Floyd on Tar Heel Blog one has to wonder if Fedora can get a player of Williams caliber the work he should get.

It would not be surprising to see as the season goes on Williams role expands in this offense. However, to start the year expect Williams to be the goal line back and finish the year leading the Tar Heels in rushing touchdowns.

2018 projected stats: 110 carries, 575 rushing yards, 9 rushing touchdowns, 12 receptions, 100 receiving yards.
