The NBA season is right around the corner and the league announced the Charlotte Hornets’ schedule for the upcoming season. These are the top takeaways for the Hornets’ upcoming schedule.

It is a new beginning of sorts for the Charlotte Hornets’ organization this coming season.  The Hornets signed Mitch Kupchek as their general manager to lead the front office.

The Hornets also made a change on the bench by signing James Borrego as their head coach, who previously was the assistant coach with the San Antonio Spurs.

While the leadership has changed a bit, the team has remained mostly the same led by former All-Star Kemba Walker. However, the Hornets did add veteran guard Tony Parker in free agency, along with Miles Bridges and Devonte Graham in the NBA Draft.

The hope is that the changes on the coaching staff, along with these few new pieces, can help get this team back to the playoffs for the first time since 2015-2016 and earn a winning record for the first time in three years.

These are the biggest takeaways from the Charlotte Hornets’ schedule for the upcoming 2018-19 season.
