Marquis Haynes

Another rookie who has impressed this training camp is Marquis Haynes. The Panthers selected Haynes in the fourth round out of Ole Miss and his play so far has moved him into the backup defensive end role. This was surprising to see, especially him being ahead of players like Daeshon Hall and Bryan Cox Jr.

Haynes though has shown incredibly speed and quickness in practice and will be worth watching if that translates to an NFL game.

At 6’2″ and 235 pounds, he is a bit undersized to be a full-time defensive end but if he can get to the quarterback there is no question he could be on the field in passing situations.
