How do Panthers respond to Kelvin Benjamin?

The top storyline entering this game is thanks to former Carolina Panthers’ wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin. The former first round pick was traded to the Bills midway through the season last year and over the weekend didn’t have many positive things to say about his former team and quarterback.

These comments, during a Q&A with Tim Graham of The Athletic, has forced former teammates like Greg Olsen answer questions about Cam Newton. Benjamin’s head coach Sean McDermott said that there is a ‘time and place‘ for comments like that.

It is hard to imagine there will be many pleasantries before or after the game shared by Benjamin with his former team. The Panthers’ defense is sure to be fired up for this matchup, even if it is only preseason, and will want to make a point of shutting down Benjamin.
