2. Cam Newton

Even though he has only been in the league eight years, Cam Newton has racked up a number of NFL records, according to his bio on the team site. This includes most rushing touchdowns by a QB (54), first player in NFL history with 25,000 passing yards and 4,000 rushing yards in his first seven years in the league, and only player in NFL history with at least 35 passing touchdowns and 10 rushing touchdowns in the same season.

The former first overall pick has won a number of awards including AP Offensive Rookie of the Year (2011), AP Offensive Player of the Year (2015), and NFL MVP (2015). That season he helped lead the Carolina Panthers to Super Bowl 50, where they eventually lost to the Denver Broncos.

Newton certainly has the stats to make it to the Hall of Fame but as a quarterback, they are charged more by Super Bowl wins than any other position. This will ultimately be the deciding factor for Newton being a sure fire lock and a likely member of the Hall of Fame.
