How will Cam Newton perform in Norv Turner’s offense?

There is no question that the performance of this offense runs through Cam Newton. When the former MVP is playing to his potential, this group can be dynamic and compete with the top offenses in the league.

The problem is that Newton through his career has not been consistent, whether it is year to year or even week to week. This is where Norv Turner comes into play and he hopes it is something that he will change. Turner recently spoke on SiriusXM spoke about this very topic:

"“But in the middle of that, of a 16-game season, he has four or five games where that rating is not very good. And that, obviously, makes your average not as good as you’d like. So what we’re going to try to work hard for is eliminate the peaks and the valleys and try to, on a weekly basis, make it more consistent. And I think that’ll help us, offensively, be more consistent and certainly will help him.”"

There is no question that there will be a bit of a learning curve for Newton, and for Turner as well, as these two try to get on the same page. It will be important for both to find a common ground and the quicker Newton can learn this offensive scheme, the better the chances of the Panthers moving up in these offensive rankings.
