The Carolina Panthers’ offense is expected to look much different this year than in years past. These are the top questions for this offense entering 2018.

Outside of the 2015 season, the Carolina Panthers offense is one that has seemed to never live up to expectations. When a team has players like Cam Newton, Greg Olsen and Christian McCaffrey they should be producing like one of the top offenses in the league.

However, that hasn’t been the case under Mike Shula and last year the team finished 19th in yards per game (323.7) and 12th in point per game (22.7). The team felt like it was time for a change after Shula had been calling plays for this offense the past four seasons.

The Panthers brought in a veteran play caller with the addition of Norv Turner, who has been an NFL coach for over 30 years. The experience he brings to this coaching staff should put this offense in position to reach it’s full potential.

The player likely to be impacted the most will be Cam Newton. There is no question that when the former first overall pick is playing well, this offense is very tough to stop. He is a dynamic player that can beat defenses through the air and on the ground.
