Cameron Artis-Payne
Fans have been waiting for the fifth round pick out of Auburn to really get a shot at being a regular contributor in the game. However, he may not get the chance with a crowded depth chart. In his three years with the Panthers he has only 99 carries, averaged 4.3 yards per carry and has four touchdowns.
The Panthers brought in three running backs this offseason, led by free agent signing C.J. Anderson, who seemingly will replace Jonathan Stewart. The Panthers also signed Elijah Hood and Kenjon Barner, who was signed after Fozzy Whittaker was placed on injured reserve.
The issue for Artis-Payne is that he has a similar running style to Anderson while Hood or Barner would give opposing defenses a different look. Cameron Artis-Payne will need a great preseason to keep his spot on the roster.
