After a rollercoaster 2017, the Blue Devils will be looking for consistency in 2018. These are the four most important games for Duke Football this upcoming season.

Last year was a tale of three seasons for Duke Football. The program led by David Cutcliffe started the year 4-0, outscoring their opponents by an average of 25.25 points per game.

However, the wheels seem to come off after that and the Blue Devils stumbled through a six game losing streak. This included losses to the University of Miami, Florida State, Virginia Tech and Army.

After their 21-16 loss to Army, the Blue Devils turned the season around and finished with three straight wins. This included a victory over Northern Illinois in the Quick Lane Bowl and hopefully that momentum will carry into the upcoming season.

This Blue Devils team has the potential to return to the ACC Championship Game for the first time since 2013. However, if they do they will be hoping for a better performance than the 45-7 loss suffered to Florida State.

Their season likely lies on the shoulder of redshirt junior quarterback Daniel Jones and redshirt sophomore Brittain Brown, who will be entering this season as the featured running back after an impressive year last season.
