During the ACC Kickoff, NC State Wolfpack quarterback Ryan Finley put his teammates on notice for the upcoming season.

There is no question that Ryan Finley has high expectations for NC State football this season. During the ACC Kickoff, he put his teammates on notice that they better be ready to go right from the start.

According to ABC 11 anchor Mark Armstrong, Finley made it clear that the goal for this team this year is an ACC Championship and he won’t be accepting anything less.

The redshirt senior is expected to be one of the top quarterbacks in college football after an impressive junior season. He finished the year throwing for over 3,500 passing yards with 17 touchdowns and only six interceptions.

He was recently named to the Maxwell Award watch list and the pressure will be on him to get the Wolfpack to their first ACC Championship game.

However, he has plenty of confidence with the weapons around him. Finley said at the ACC Kickoff that he believes the Wolfpack has the “best trio of wide receivers in the country”.

"Q. You’ve had some big words to say about your receiving corps, just what you can say about them going into the season and how excited you are for the weapons that you have to go a little bit deeper into those weapons. RYAN FINLEY: Yeah, real excited about that group. Obviously led by Steph and Kelvin and Jakobi, in my opinion the best trio wide receiving corps in the country. Just can’t speak enough words about how hard they work and just kind of how they approach the game and the level of preparation they put into the game and obviously very talented."

The biggest questions for the Wolfpack lies on the other side of the ball, in particular along the defensive line. The Wolfpack will be replacing their starting line as all four left for the NFL, led by fifth overall pick Bradley Chubb. If the defense is able to answer those questions early, this could be a special year.

The path to the ACC Championship Game won’t be easy for the Wolfpack, as they are in a division with the Clemson Tiger and Florida State Seminoles. These two teams have represented the Atlantic Division in the title game every year since 2009.
