Week 8: at Clemson Tigers

The road to the ACC Championship goes through Clemson and if the Wolfpack want to earn their first trip there, a win over the Tigers will be key. However, a win over Clemson is something the Wolfpack hasn’t been able to achieve since 2011.

This past year though they came close as the Wolfpack led for most of the game before Clemson took the lead late in the third quarter. It was that third quarter that was the deciding factor as the Tigers outscored the Wolfpack by 14 points en route to a 38-31 victory.

The focus this year will be to limit the Tigers ability to run the ball, as they ran for 224 yards and three rushing touchdowns. This will be another game where the Wolfpack’s new defensive line will play a key role in the outcome of this contest.
