NC State Football: Top 4 games of the 2018 season
Week 3: vs. West Virginia Mountaineers
While it isn’t a conference game, the NC State Wolfpack have a key game early in the season as the welcome the West Virginia Mountaineers. The Wolfpack start the year with games against James Madison and Georgia State, two games that they should be able to win fairly easily. This game will be the first real test for the Wolfpack this upcoming season and give an idea of what type of team they have.
The biggest challenge for the Wolfpack will be to slowing down their quarterback, Will Grier. The former Florida Gator transferred to the Mountaineers after serving a one-year suspension for testing positive for performance-enhancing drugs. In his first season at West Virginia, Grier threw for an impressive 34 touchdowns and will look to prove he is one of the premier quarterbacks in college football.
This will be a good test for the Wolfpack defense, and in particular the defensive line, as they will try to get pressure on Grier and keep him off balance.
