Charlotte Hornets: Summer League Stock Report
Stock Up: Dwayne Bacon
The second-year player had a strong Summer League performance after a quiet rookie season. He played in all five games and finished first on the team in minutes (31.0), third in points (18.2) and rebounds (4.4).
Bacon had his best game against the Toronto Raptors and stepped up with the team missing Malik Monk, Devonte Graham and Willy Hernangomez. He finished with 28 points, five rebounds and two assists.
While Bacon did look good in Summer League, the small forward position is crowded with Michael Kidd Gilchrist and Miles Bridges already on the roster. It would not be surprising to see him start the year in the G-League and move up due to an injury or if Kidd Gilchrist is traded.
