Stock Down: Miles Bridges

The initial returns from the 12th overall pick weren’t great as Miles Bridges struggled through the four games of Summer League play. He finished the summer averaging 15 points, 8.2 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.2 blocks. However, the point total was due to the fact that he took the second most field goal attempts (79) and ended up shooting only 34% from the field.

However, the one thing Bridges did show, specifically in the game against the Toronto Raptors is his ability to finish around the rim. While many will talk about the dunk he missed when he threw it off the backboard, he did finish this one earlier in the game.

The numbers behind the arc was even worse as he took 30 three point attempts and finished with a shooting percentage of only 20%. This will be the one area he can really separate himself from last year’s starter at small forward, Michael Kidd Gilchrist, who has only attempted 36 in the five years in the NBA.
