With several Division I college football teams vacating their head coaching positions, NC State head coach Dave Doeren seems to be on Tennessee’s radar.

The Wolfpack finished the regular season with an impressive 8-4 record, 6-2 in ACC play. Headlined by Dave Doeren’s first full recruiting class led by Bradley Chubb and Jaylen Samuels, NC State ended with its best conference record since 1994 with Mike O’Cain at the helm.

With the steady increase in the Wolfpack’s relevance in the ACC, Doeren has become a prime target for other Power Five schools to hire him to lead their programs. The biggest school to attempt to lure Doeren away is the University of Tennessee at Knoxville.
