Duke Basketball closes out Day 3 of the 2017 ACC-Big Ten Challenge with a game at Indiana. How will the young Blue Devils respond to their first true road game?

There are some key milestones in the development of a freshman basketball player: his first college game, his first game against a ranked team, his first mid-season tournament, and his first true road game. Marvin Bagley III has passed the first three with flying colors. He will have to enter the unfriendly confines of Assembly Hall on Wednesday night for his first true road game against Indiana. Can he carry Duke basketball to victory yet again?

No. 1 Duke (8-0) has looked like the obvious National Title favorite and Marvin Bagley III has looked like the favorite to win any award anyone is giving away that has anything to do with college basketball.

The Blue Devils won their bracket in the PK80 tournament in impressive fashion. The Blue Devils came from 17 down to beat then No. 7 Florida in the Motion Bracket championship game. Bagley III scored 30 points and grabbed 15 rebounds. Bagley had 15 rebounds in all three PK80 games and had a career-high 34 points against Texas in the semifinal game.  The future lottery pick is averaging 22.3 points and 11.3 rebounds per game.

Indiana (4-2) got off to an inauspicious start under new head coach Archie Miller. The Hoosiers dropped their season opener at home to Indiana State. They lost their second game in their first three tries to No. 22 Seton Hall by 16 points. Since then, Indiana has won three straight against teams they were all favored to beat by double figures.

Duke is favored by 8.5 points on the road. This game would be much closer to 15 points on a neutral floor. You never really know how freshmen will react in a hostile environment. Assembly Hall is one of the tougher places to play, and they will be loud early with Duke in town. If Duke can take the crowd out of it, they will roll. If it is tight late, you might finally see the Blue Devils look their age.

Prediction: Duke 90, Indiana 78
