Carolina Panthers: The Season So Far

Three games into the 2017-18 season, the Carolina Panthers have two wins under their belt with a trip to Foxboro, Mass. next on the schedule.

After a trip to Super Bowl L in 2015-16, many thought the Carolina Panthers would continue their success in 2016-17, especially with Kelvin Benjamin returning to the lineup after getting placed on the injured reserve the year prior. However, Cam Newton and company ended last season with an abysmal 6-10 record and only one win against an NFC South opponent.

Despite the successes and shortcomings, the expectations heading into 2017-18 were mixed between a repeat of the year before with another disappointing year and maximizing the potential that had been shown in Carolina’s conference championship season with Newton behind center.

Giving a season preview, however, is pointless since there are three games already in the books. So let’s take a look at those games before looking ahead to the next contest against New England.
