Carolina Panthers: Four Trading Down Scenarios

This scenario would take place if Trubisky falls to number eight after the Browns have already drafted Myles Garrett number 1. If the Browns think that the Bills have real interest in Trubisky at ten, then a move to nine or eight would make sense. The nine spot is occupied by the Cincinnati Bengals, who are unlikely to aid the Browns within their own division.

This trade nets the Panthers an additional second round pick, while moving back four spots is not a huge gamble. Other than the Saints, no team is likely looking at the same guys the Panthers would be. If this move was made, I would look for the Panthers to take Christian McCaffrey at this spot.

The Browns have lots of picks and therefore they are an easy target, let’s try and look outside the box a bit.
