  1. The Trubisky Surprise – Panthers trade up to 2 to grab Myles Garrett

The Browns have been making a lot of noise about potentially taking Mitch Trubisky number one to entice times to offer them a ridiculous trade for the number one pick. Let’s say they actually do it (pick Trubisky) and we are stuck in the ten minute period before the 49ers pick. Could the Panthers move up to grab Garrett now.

The answer might be clear to you from the first scenario. The Panthers were 700 points short of having value for the first pick in the draft. The second pick has a value of 2600, four hundred points fewer. That leaves the Panthers still three hundred points short of a deal that would still take their entire draft to pull off and a future second rounder.

This deal makes only slightly more sense than the deal that made no sense at all. Suffice it to say: the Panthers aren’t getting Garrett in this draft. There are other people that the team might trade for, though.
