  • Green has found his home as a role player at the two guard position. He is there to provide a three point shooting option to the likes of Kawhi Leonard, Pau Gasol, and LaMarcus Aldridge. He only averages around seven points a game this season, but don’t let those numbers fool you. Green has shown the capability to come up big in the playoffs.

Carter is living the sweet life. There are no expectations anymore and he can just try to ride out his final years and try to win a title. He scratches out eight points a game. His shooting percentage overall has declined, but part of that is because he shoots mostly three pointers now. Carter has shown flashes this year and the Grizz put him in the starting lineup for fifteen games. Like Green, Carter knows his role and just does that.

The forgotten man therefore must be Wright. Wright barely played this season, averaging sixteen minutes a game in twenty-eight total appearances. He may see more action this time around the Grizzlies need more size when matching up with the Spurs.

Chances that Green and Carter guard each other: pretty good
