Summary

And so there we have it, the 2009 team ekes a two point victory over the full force of the 1977 team. O’Koren ties the game with a free throw only for Larry Drew II to run down the court and find Wayne Ellington for the game winner as Tom Zaliagiris misses the last gasp attempt. One thing I have enjoyed about the simulator is how it does things. There is no way Drew or Zaliagiris are on the court in that situation.

Next: What Happens Now

The Final Four is now set, it is 2016, 1968, 1993, 2009. That is two Roy Williams teams and two Dean Smith teams. Only two of those actually won titles. Next time it will be 2016 v 1993 in one semifinal when we finally answer the question: How would Eric Montross, current radio analyst, have handled Kennedy Meeks?
