As people marvel at what Maye does, it worth pointing out that the 2005 team had three guys capable of doing that – Williams, Williams, and Noel. This is why the team is so unusual, every team that followed had more traditional posts, even Meeks and Hicks.

May is on the current coaching staff so this would be the opportunity to have his guys really go at him at his peak rather than after a succession of injuries. May would be one of the few guys who would have the bulk to really stick it to Meeks inside.

Berry and Felton have similar problems in that teams lean on them in the absence of real depth behind them. Both have a freshman as their key backup while a senior two guard is called upon instead in tight moments.

This game would feature Manuel and Noel harassing Jackson while Pinson and Kenny Williams harassed McCants.
