Peppers could offer the team a bulwark, but he obviously is no spring chicken. The grind of becoming a 4-3 end again may not appeal to him, although it would emphasize his strength over his speed. This is something of a nostalgia move that should have happened two years ago. He is still better than some linemen on the roster.

The team might decide to forego bringing back Ginn in favor of bringing in Jackson. The veteran wide receiver will be looking for a home with a franchise quarterback where he can still be a big contributor. He would instantly make Kelvin Benjamin better since he would have to draw some coverage away from the big target.
Of the three amigos back there at cornerback, the weakest spot belongs to Zach Sanchez at the nickel. Munnerlyn would come in and fix that. His small size would be less noticeable in matchups with the slot receiver position. There is also familiarity between the defensive back and his former team.
