For the Carolina Panthers, the free agency period is underway. The Panthers have already made some moves to keep the defensive line depth together. Mario Addison was given a three year extension. Wes Horton was kept around. Kawann Short was franchised and we all hope that will be the end of that conversation for a while.

However there are some intriguing targets out there for the Panthers to look at for improving their roster. Despite the $13 million handed to Short, there is still lots of money out there to make the Panthers major players in the free agent market if they so choose.

There are also some clear needs on the roster. That includes the tackle position. The Panthers might continue to bolster their defensive line by adding a more well-rounded end.
