Running Back

Lost – T.J. Logan (SR), Khris Francis (SR), Elijah Hood (JR)

Signed – Michael Carter (3 star, 5’9” 185 lbs), Antwuan Branch (3 star, 6’0” 200 lbs)

There is also Auburn transfer Stanton Truitt, but it sounds like Truitt is being brought in to learn the Ryan Switzer role rather than just being a straight up running back. Carter could be groomed in the Logan mold. However the Hood role will be a hard fit unless the team expects Branch to bulk up. Again, I am ignoring the current roster at the moment.

Wide Receiver

Lost – Mack Hollins (SR), Bug Howard (SR), Ryan Switzer (SR)

Signed – Tyler Smith (4 star, 5’10” 171 lbs), J.T. Cauthen (4 star, 6’1” 219 lbs), Caleb Rozar (3 star, 6’4” 200 lbs), Beau Corrales (3 star, 6’4” 203 lbs)

The pain of losing the top three receiving options should be obvious. There is also clearly an attempt to fill the stable with their eventual replacements. Cauthen, Rozar, and Corrales are bigger in size. Rozar is listed as an athlete so he could end up on the other side of the ball. His size suggests a receiver.

Another athlete signee is C.J. Cotman. Cotman’s size suggests he could be running back, receiver, or defensive back. I am leaning toward running back right at the moment, so you can plug him up there in theory.
