Davidson Wildcats: Steph Curry Honored at high school and college
Last night, Steph Curry was honored at his high school alma mater and his college alma mater.
The Charlotte Christian School Knights retired Steph Curry’s No. 20 at halftime during last night’s game. In another part of Charlotte, North Carolina, Davidson College renamed it’s student section “Section 30.”

Steph Curry was born in Akron, Ohio and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina. His father, Dell Curry, played for the Charlotte Hornets from 1988-98. When Steph Curry was born, Dell was a member of the Cleveland Cavaliers (1987-88).
Steph Curry played for the Davidson Wildcats from 2006-09. He averaged over 20 points per game each season. As a junior, Curry averaged 28.6 points, 5.6 assists and 4.4 rebounds. In addition, he was a consensus first-team All-American and the NCAA scoring leader during the 2008-09 college basketball season.
