NC State: 14-7 (3-5 ACC)

Mark Gottfried certainly has his work cut out for him. One day, his Wolfpack pounds a ranked Virginia Tech by over 20 points. The next game, State falls flat on its face against UNC-CH to lose by 51. Despite a recent skid, the Pack has plenty to celebrate after defeating the Blue Devils at Cameron Indoor Stadium for the first time since 1995. However, NC State should not rest on its laurels.

Next on the horizon is another road contest against a top-25 team as the Wolfpack faces No. 13 Louisville at the KFC Yum! Center. State’s final nine games after that will include four more ranked teams including a rematch against the Tar Heels. With a hungry conference still looming, Gottfried will have to make sure his players leave their “cool jackets” at the door.
