11. Games in which Ryan Finley threw for at least 150 yards

There was much speculation as to whom would relieve Jacoby Brissett as the Wolfpack’s starting quarterback. Once Finley stood behind center on the season’s first snap against William & Mary, it was clear Doeren made the right choice. The Boise State graduate transfer led State to the end zone in his first four drives against the Tribe and will lead the Wolfpack charge in the Independence Bowl.

He finished the season with 2,824 yards through the air on 224 completions with 15 touchdowns while throwing eight interceptions. The only game in which he did not have at least 150 passing yards was the infamous Hurricane Matthew game against Notre Dame. Arguably, his best performance came against Syracuse where, even though he only scored once, he lit up the Orange defense for 340 yards on 20 completions.
