Jeff Teague, Indiana Pacers, point guard, #44

One of the best point guards ever to play for the Demon Deacons was Jeff Teague. Teague left A-Town for I-Town. Formerly an Atlanta Hawk for several seasons, now Teague starts as a point guard for the Indiana Pacers. Teague played with a chip on his shoulder during November. He averaged 16.4 points, 6.7 assists and 4.1 rebounds in November. Although he shot 30% from three-point range, he made nearly half of his field goals (45.9%) and 87.2% of his free throws line.

Do not let the low three-point field goal percentage fool you. Teague can score. He averages 15.3 points, 6.8 assists and 3.8 rebounds per game this season. He scored 30 points twice in November; against the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Philadelphia 76ers. Both games resulted in victories for the Pacers.

Teague scored in double figures in 12 of 16 games in November. Although Paul George may be the face of the Pacers’ franchise, Teague is an important piece in their rebuilding phase. Do not be surprised if Teague is an all-star this season. He has been a pleasant surprise for Indiana.
