Rodney Hood, Utah Jazz, shooting guard/small forward, #5

Rodney Hood is off to a great start this season. He averages 16.4 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game. Hood is the third highest scorer for the Utah Jazz.

This season, he became an integral part of their core along with George Hill and Gordon Hayward.

The interesting thing about Hood is his versatility. Although he starts at the shooting guard position, Hood guards shooting guards, small forwards and power forwards. His 6’8″ 206 pound frame allows him to cover various types of basketball players.

Although he may not become an all-star this season, Hood’s play has led to a Utah Jazz resurgence in the Western Conference. They sit in the seventh overall position in the conference while being the second-place team in the Northwest Division.
