Chris Paul, Los Angeles Clippers, point guard, #3

Chris Paul is one of the best point guards in the NBA. You could argue that he is the best point guard in the NBA right now. Everyone can agree to disagree that Paul is one of the best. Paul is also the face of Wake Forest Demon Deacons Basketball, along with recently retired Tim Duncan.

Currently, Paul averages 18.8 points, 7.8 assists and six rebounds per game. Paul shoots 45% from the field, 42% from three-point range, 86.4% from the free throw line. Paul leads the NBA in steals per game (3.3). Paul ranks fifth in assists (7.8 per game) and ties with Tim Frazier (New Orleans), Rajon Rondo (Chicago Bulls) and Draymond Green (Golden State Warriors).

Often referred to as ‘CP3,’ Paul has the numbers to back up any argument he is the best PG in the NBA. Paul has led the Clippers to a 3-1 record to start this season.

The Clippers have a good chance to usurp the heavily favored Golden State Warriors as the representatives of the Western Conference in the 2017 NBA Finals. If Los Angeles, in particular CP3, remains healthy this season, then watch out for the Clippers.
