Kyrie Irving, Cleveland Cavaliers, point guard, #2

Kyrie Irving has had an impressive 2016. Last season, Irving (along with LeBron James) led the Cleveland Cavaliers to their first NBA championship ever. In addition, Irving won a gold medal in the 2016 Rio Olympics with his college coach at Duke, Mike Krzyzewski.

Currently, Irving leads the Cavaliers in scoring. He averages 25 points, four rebounds and four assists per game. Irving has positioned himself as one of the best point guards in the NBA right now.

If Irving continues his current pace, he may be in NBA MVP talks. Cleveland has a great chance to make another run for an NBA title this season.

Cleveland started off the season with a blowout win against the New York Knicks, 117-88. Irving finished the game with 29 points, four assists, two rebounds and two steals. Irving scored 29 points in three quarters, as shown in the highlight reel below:
