Rodney Hood, Utah Jazz, guard/forward, #5

Rodney Hood has worked his way into the starting lineup for the Utah Jazz. He starts at the shooting guard position. Currently, he averages 15 points and 3.7 rebounds.

On opening night, Hood lit up the Portland Trail Blazers for 26 points (seen in the video below). He was 9-17 from the field (52.9%), 3-7 from three-point range (42.9%) and 5-5 from the free throw line (100%).

Several days later, he scored 15 points and grabbed six rebounds against the Los Angeles Lakers. Hood ranks as the third leading scorer for the Jazz behind George Hill and Joe Johnson.

Make sure that you pay close attention to the one-handed, posterizing dunk Hood had against the Blazers.
