Who will the Charlotte Hornets select at Number 22? Follow along the second mock draft and see where the question stands right now.

The Charlotte Hornets pick at number 22 still. Their needs have not changed since the last mock draft, but news about several of the players has. There is a change at the top of the draft that might seem obvious and a couple of players who have slid.

Some of those players have slid right out of the first round, and as such the mock draft does not follow their ultimate fates. There is a lot of question about the depth of this draft and that means slight movements in draft stock could send players rocketing up or more likely falling back down the board.

Teams will still find good players in the second round. This was probably a bad year for the Hornets not to have a second round pick because the value would have been better.

So here is the new mock, starting with the lottery.

1. Philadelphia 76ers

SF. LSU. Ben Simmons . 1. player. 93. I still don’t like the idea of the 76ers giving up on <strong><a href=

2. Los Angeles Lakers

Duke. Brandon Ingram . 2. player. 20. There is a lot of talk about Kentucky combo guard Jamal Murray moving up the draft boards into the highest spots. Call me skeptical. Ingram is the number two player in this draft and the Lakers would be dumb to pass on him.. SF

3. Boston Celtics

Israel. Dragan Bender . 3. player. 18. Boston can’t be happy with staying in this spot. There is lots of talk about the Celtics moving this pick or any of their picks. Assuming they can’t, Bender offers the most upside to their roster.. PF

4. Phoenix Suns

4. player. 66. So far this mock draft looks just like the first one only with Simmons and Ingram swapping places. I still see no reason not to grab Brown here as the Suns have multiple picks and can afford flexibility. SG. California. Jaylen Brown

5. Minnesota Timberwolves

5. player. 86. The Timberwolves have their inside scoring presence, they have their slasher from the wing, and they have their point guard. The best supplement they can give them is shooting even if Hield is likely to come off the bench behind <strong><a href=. SG. Oklahoma. Buddy Hield

6. New Orleans Pelicans

player. 69. The thing that depresses Murray’s value to me is the number of players that sort of do the things he does. The Suns have Bledsoe. The T-Wolves have LaVine. The Pelicans may lose <strong><a href=. SG. Kentucky. Jamal Murray . 6

7. Denver Nuggets

73. A stretch? Maybe. Consider that Denver has plenty of picks coming up in this draft to address other issues. This is their version of taking Biyombo before <strong><a href=. SG. France. Timothe Luwawu . 7. player

8. Sacramento Kings

67. Let <strong><a href=. PG. Providence. Kris Dunn . 8. player

9. Toronto Raptors

Jakob Poeltl . 9. player. 81. Flexibility is a must for a non-center big man these days. Poeltl comes in and fills either big man spot depending on the lineup you want to run. Could also make Biyombo expendable. PF. Utah

10. Milwaukee Bucks

10. player. 89. Need a rugged presence down low. <strong><a href=. PF. Michigan State. Deyonta Davis

11. Orlando Magic

Washington. Marquese Chriss . 11. player. 38. Chriss’ stock has risen over the past few weeks as he has shown off his athleticism. I still don’t have him in the top ten, but Toronto or Milwaukee might take careful looks at him.. PF

12. Utah Jazz

12. player. 118. The Jazz know who their starters are. This pick is all about bringing depth to the bench so that they can take on the other deep teams in the West. SG. Michigan State. Denzel Valentine

13. Phoenix Suns

PF. Gonzaga. Domantas Sabonis . 13. player. 66. Now the Suns go after the flexible big man that they could certainly use. Still have more picks to make and already they have Sabonis and Brown.

14. Chicago Bulls

24. Team could lose both <strong><a href=. PF. Kentucky. Skal Labissiere . 14. player
