Series Record – (3-3)

Key Panthers Win: 2003

87. Final. 23. 52. 24

The Jacksonville series may not seem like much now, but it was a thing in 1995. Both teams came into the League at the same time and both were looking to make big splashes. For young Panthers fans, we were determined that the Panthers splashed first. After the Panthers made a deeper playoff run in 1996 and the Super Bowl in 2003-4, the Jaguars no longer suffice as a measuring stick.

That does not mean that the Jaguars have not been involved in some big moments in Panthers history. The Jaguars were one of the few teams to beat the Panthers in 1996. More importantly was the 2003 season opener. The Panthers had started Rodney Peete, but they fell behind by three scores. Peete was benched for Jake Delhomme, who led the team to a comeback victory and set the stage for the Super Bowl run.
