  1. Joakim Noah

2015-16 stats: 4.3 points, 8.8 rebounds, 1 block

Noah lost last year to injury. He was not a clear fit for Fred Hoiberg’s offense because Hoiberg could not pair him with Gasol because Hoiberg wanted a shooter (Nikola Mirotic) and only one post on the court. A healthy Noah is still a terrific rebounder and defensive menace. That of course is part of the problem. A Healthy Noah. He was not that last year.

  1. Al Jefferson

The Hornets may well decide that they can live with the Zeller-Jefferson combo at the center spot for another year. It may be the most cost effective option even if it is not the ideal solution for the system.

  1. Frank Kaminsky

Kaminsky is not a free agent, but if Clifford wants to go completely free flow with the offense then having the second year man Kaminsky at the five can accomplish that. He can post some and of course he can shoot. If this is the potential solution then the next question would be what to do at the power forward spot. This idea would also better accommodate spacing for Kidd-Gilchrist in the offense.

The Hornets may decide to answer this question in the Draft instead, so keep your eyes open in late June.
