13. Right Defensive Tackle – Brentson Buckner (2001-2005)

I tried to throw you off the scent there. Buckner spent four seasons of productivity with the Panthers. He was an important veteran presence amongst younger defensive linemen. After his career was over he continued to be a presence on local radio. Now he mentors the Arizona defensive line.

Buckner was more than just big guy on the line, he was crafty. No player was called more defensive holding, where Buckner would grab opposing offensive linemen to prevent them from blocking other directions or other people.

The next man up would probably have to be Kragen. There was no way I was putting Sean Gilbert on this team. Of course there is still one more defensive lineman to go.

Future teams will likely have other choices in this spot. Kawann Short is leading the team in sacks this year with seven. His battery mate Star Lotulelei is not bad either.
