Boston Celtics

The Boston Celtics are currently 43-30 and 9 games behind first place in the East. They are half a game behind Atlanta and a full game in front of Charlotte. Despite falling back a bit, the Celtics seemed to have recovered and look to hold on to the final home playoff spot in the East.

Remaining Celtics games:

@ LA Clippers

@ Portland

@ Golden State

@ LA Lakers

New Orleans

Milwaukee

@ Atlanta

Charlotte

Miami

The Celtics get a late Western road swing here. They get to counter that by probably deciding their playoff positioning in two home games against the Hornets and Heat to finish the season.

The model says that Boston should win against Pelicans, Lakers, Bucks, Hornets, and Heat for five more victories. That takes the Celtics from 43-30 to 48-34. If that sounds familiar that is the same result the Hawks achieved in the model. So at the very least there will be a tie somewhere.

Time to move on to Miami and see if the home playoff spot will be taking its talents to South Beach.
