In Super Bowl 50, Cam Newton will once again be trying to silence the doubters. Why do they doubt, anyway?

As Super Bowl 50 nears, it is impossible to ignore the man who has been the center of the spotlight for this Carolina Panthers all year. That would be quarterback Cam Newton who has put his stamp on this team so that they are a projection of Newton himself. That would mean the Panthers are fun-loving, good, controversial, and still doubted in some circles.

So where does the doubt come from and where have Newton’s critics come from? Why have there been two letters to the editor about Newton’s behavior during and after a game? What have people got against Cam Newton?
