The Carolina Panthers’ roster management has put them on a good trajectory in the coming years, though it all starts with a win over Arizona.

A franchise quarterback, a defense full of pro bowlers, the best linebacker in football, and arguably the best corner back in the NFL. These are all key pieces to why I say the Carolina Panthers may be on the verge of something amazing.

The coaching staff behind Ron Rivera has grown. The defense has always been strong in Carolina but the offense has never been this elite. I remember for years behind John Fox we started every game seems like with a single back draw play to DeAngelo Williams. The tempo was slow and I was happy to even see the Panthers put up 21 points. Fast forward to 2015, they lead the league in scoring.

It’s very possible the Panthers win the Super Bowl this year without their star wide receiver in Kelvin Benjamin. Well he will be back next season. Cam and Luke have signed long term contracts that will have them there for years to come. Josh Norman is a free agent but he would be crazy not to sign back to a team that is clearly built for greatness.  Kawann Short who is hardly mention is a pro bowler and is looking like the best young defensive tackle in the game is still on the roster

They have stars at every level and position on the field. So there key pieces including a very good offensive line will be around for years. It’s almost safe to say they will be better next year. That puts you in the mindset they will make another run at this thing next season as well.

The Seahawks will have A LOT of free agents coming up and not enough money to pay all those guys. The Cardinals our NFC Championship opponents are getting older. Carson Palmer is 36 years old, Fitzgerald is 32. These are the corner stones of their team.

Just looking at all this information, looking at how well we have over achieved in a season the world said we would be lucky to win eight games. A dynasty isn’t far fetched at all.  With teams getting older, with franchises losing key players to free agency and with 90% of our key players set to return for years.

The road to the Super Bowl should be going through Charlotte for years to come. It all starts tonight though as the Panthers try to reach their second Super Bowl in franchise history.
